How the season works.
The TCA Season runs September 1 through the first Sunday in June, capped by the TCA World Championships during the first full week of July. Every sanctioned event contributes to World Standings.
What changed this season
- Memberships run through Scoreholio Seasons. In Scoreholio, search "TCA Season 3" and pick your playTCA tier under the Memberships tab. You must register before your first TCA-sanctioned event.
- Championship jerseys narrowed to OPEN. Major Championship and Worlds Championship jerseys are now OPEN-tier exclusive. REC, COMP, and ADV still award cash and trophies.
- Cross-league PROs play OPEN. Any player recognized as a "PRO" in another national cornhole league (ACO, ACL, TCL, etc.) must play in OPEN, regardless of TCA Season PPR.
- Major tickets purchased through Scoreholio. All TCA Major registrations run through Scoreholio. For doubles, one teammate buys the team ticket and registers — the second teammate joins after.
- TCA Spin added as a Major division. TCA Spin joins the Majors lineup alongside the traditional Singles, Doubles, Mixed, and Blind Draw divisions.
- Signature Throwcase & PRO Series introduced. Select Majors are designated Signature Throwcases, offering expanded divisions (Women’s, Junior, Senior, and TCAdaptive Doubles) plus a PRO Series event for current TCA PROs.

OPEN
TCA uses PPR to place players in the appropriate competitive tier. New players default to COMP. A player may play in a tier rated above their determined base, but may not play below. TCA Corporate can adjust a player's Tier at its discretion based on competitive balance.
TCA PROs must play OPEN
Ranked TCA PROs are required to play in the OPEN Tier regardless of Season PPR.
Cross-league PROs also play OPEN
Any player recognized as a “PRO” in another national cornhole league (ACO, ACL, TCL, etc.) must compete in OPEN, regardless of TCA Season PPR.

How qualifying points work.
Every sanctioned event feeds your TCA Worlds standings. Here's how finishes translate into qualifying points.
Ten best finishes
Play as many TCA Local events as you like — only your 10 best finishes in each division count toward your Worlds total. Points from any tier all roll into the same bucket.
Five best finishes
Your 5 best finishes at TCA Majors count, regardless of tier. Local points and Major points add together to form your overall Standings total.
50-point minimum for Worlds
To compete at the TCA World Championships of Cornhole, you must accumulate at least 50 points in the division you wish to enter. The minimum applies to World Singles, World Doubles, Women's Singles, Junior Singles, Senior Singles, and Mixed Doubles. Women's, Junior, and Senior Doubles do not have a point minimum.

TCA Major Point Scales
All Major Divisions operate on the same point system. Point Totals vary by Tier level of the Tournament offered. Players receive points based on their overall finishes. In the instance a Major contains a split bracket, a player's overall finish point total may reflect differently from the split-bracket finish.

Regional events, national impact.
Locals are hosted by TCA Directors and Certified Officials in markets across the country. Directors must offer the OPEN tier in every division they run; other tiers are at director discretion.
Minimum players per division
A Local must meet these minimums to qualify as a TCA points-earning event. All tiers share the same minimum.
- World Singles3 players
- World / Mixed / Set-Teams Doubles2 teams
- Women's, Junior, Senior Singles2 players
- Blind Draw4 players (must be even)
Blind Draw requires an even number of players — if registration ends odd, the last player to register may need to drop out.
Seeding & format
- The first Local of the season is seeded randomly; every Local after that is seeded by total points in the division.
- Once seeded, players and teams are placed into a double-elimination bracket.
- Every player must have a Scoreholio account — the email on Scoreholio must match the email on the TCA Membership.
- Points from any tier (OPEN, ADV, COMP, REC) all roll into a player's single Locals point bucket in that division.
National fields, split brackets.
Majors are run by TCA Corporate. When registration grows past certain thresholds, tiers are split into multiple brackets that play down to a reseeded Final Four.
World Singles & World Doubles
- 64 or fewerOne bracket
- 65 – 128Split into two brackets
- 129 – 256Split into four brackets
Women's, Seniors, Juniors, Mixed Doubles
- 64 or fewerOne bracket
- 65 – 128Split into two brackets
- 129 – 256Split into four brackets
Blind Draw Doubles
- 128 or fewerOne bracket
- 129 – 256Split into two brackets
- 257 – 512Split into four brackets
Final Four & the overall champion
When a division is split, each split bracket plays down until four players or teams remain overall. Those finalists are placed into a TCA Final Four bracket reseeded by TCA Standings for that division. Records from split-bracket play do NOT carry over to the Final Four.
Scoreholio tickets for Majors
All TCA Major registrations are processed through Scoreholio. For doubles events, one teammate purchases the team ticket and registers the spot — the second teammate then joins the team after the ticket has been purchased.
Multiple paths. One shield.
TCA PRO Status can be earned through several divisions. Once achieved, PROs receive jerseys, Pool Play bypass at select Majors, and access to PRO-only Invitationals.
Top 20 in World Singles
Finish Season 3 in the Top 20 of the TCA World Singles Standings. Ranked PRO status is valid for the next two seasons (Seasons 4 and 5).
Top 3 in World Doubles

Top 3 in Mixed Doubles
Finish the season in the Top 3 of the TCA Mixed Doubles division. Valid for Season 4.
Top 3 in Women's Singles

Final 4 at Worlds Singles
Reach the Final 4 bracket at the TCA World Championships of Cornhole in Singles. PRO status takes effect at the conclusion of Worlds and is valid for Season 4.
PRO benefits
- Earn or purchase a TCA PRO Jersey. Ranked PROs receive one FREE PRO Jersey at the conclusion of the regular season, to be worn at Worlds.
- Bypass World Singles Pool Play at select TCA Majors (based on registration numbers).
- Compete in coordinated TCA PRO Invitational Tournaments, directed and announced by TCA Corporate.
PROs are announced after all TCA points have been entered and calculated, typically by the middle of June. For team-based PRO paths, PRO Status is not extended to the next team if a qualifying team already includes TCA PRO players — the number of PROs each season is not static.
Finish #1, start next season ahead.
The player or team who finishes #1 in their division earns POS/TOS honors and carries real advantages into Worlds and the following season.
Benefits
- A Player of the Season or Team of the Season jersey, presented at TCA Worlds.
- A FREE Gold Zone Ticket to TCA Worlds in the division earned.
- The #1 overall seed in the qualifying division at the TCA World Championships.
- The ability to bypass Pool Play — if registration numbers allow — for the following season in the qualifying division.
If multiple players or teams finish tied for the top overall ranking, a POS/TOS Playoff is held at TCA Worlds to crown the winner. All other tied qualifiers are seeded at Worlds in the order of their playoff finish.

Expanded formats, PRO stages.
New for SZN3: certain Majors are designated Signature Throwcases, featuring expanded divisions and a PRO Series. Invitational events run throughout the season in multiple formats.
TCA Signature Throwcase & PRO Series
A Signature Throwcase is a designated TCA Major that includes a PRO Series event open to current TCA PROs and typically offers expanded divisions — Women's Doubles, Junior Doubles, Senior Doubles, and TCAdaptive Doubles. All divisions at a Signature Throwcase follow the standard TCA Major point scale. PRO Series formatting is still under revision and will be communicated to eligible players once finalized by TCA Corporate.
TCA ProAm Challenge
PROs are drawn into one group and non-PROs into another. Each PRO is paired with a non-PRO to create a ProAm team. Teams are randomly seeded into a double-elimination bracket. Round limited when hosted inside a TCA Signature Throwcase.
TCA Signature Throwcase Shootouts
Open to TCA PROs. World Singles and World Doubles divisions only. Round-limited format: all games play until 15 rounds are complete or a team reaches 21 points, whichever comes first. Points earned follow the OPEN-tier Major breakdown.
Other Invitationals
TCA Corporate can introduce new Invitational formats throughout the season — Elite Shootouts, Kickoff Challenges, Skins Events, and more. Not all Invitationals are point-earning; specific event rules are announced alongside each invitation.
