Membership & Registration
Which playTCA membership is right for me?▾
playTCA Social is free and lets you compete in every TCA Local and Major, earn cash and trophy prizes, and participate in the TCA World Championships of Cornhole. Social Members receive 50% of the eligible payout when they finish in a money-earning position, and are not eligible for Championship jerseys, Worlds prizes, TCA PRO Status, or Player/Team of the Season.
playTCA Worlds ($40/season) unlocks everything above and pays out the full amount at money-earning finishes. If you intend to chase PRO Status, Worlds prizes, or POS/TOS honors — or simply want your full share of cash finishes — this is the membership for you.
How do I register? (NEW for SZN3)▾
All playTCA memberships now run through Scoreholio Seasons. In Scoreholio, search “TCA Season 3” and choose your desired membership tier from the Memberships tab. You must register before playing in your first TCA-sanctioned event.
The email on your Scoreholio Player account must match the email on your TCA Membership — that's how your points and standings flow to the right profile.
Can I upgrade from Social to Worlds mid-season?▾
Yes. In Scoreholio Seasons, navigate to the Memberships tab and choose check for Upgrade options. Important: upgrades must be completed at the beginning of an event. If you upgrade in the middle of a tournament, you may not be eligible for upgraded benefits such as a TCA Major Championship jersey.
Tiers & PPR
What tier will I play in?▾
TCA uses Season PPR (Points per Round) to set your minimum tier. New players begin at COMP until they establish a baseline. The tier minimums are:
- REC — PPR 0.00 to 5.49
- COMP — PPR 5.50 to 7.74 (new players start here)
- ADV — PPR 7.75 to 8.54
- OPEN — PPR 8.55 and above; PROs must play OPEN
Can I play above my tier?▾
Yes. A player may compete in a tier rated above their determined base, but may not play below. TCA Corporate can also adjust any player's assigned tier at its discretion to protect competitive balance.
I'm a PRO in another league. What tier do I play?▾
New for SZN3: any player recognized as a PRO in another national cornhole league (ACO, ACL, TCL, etc.) must play in the OPEN Tier, regardless of TCA Season PPR.
Locals, Majors & Events
How do Worlds qualifying points work?▾
Your TCA Worlds standings are built from your 10 best Local finishes and your 5 best Major finishes in each division. Points from any tier (OPEN, ADV, COMP, REC) all roll into the same bucket.
To compete at Worlds in World Singles, World Doubles, Women's Singles, Junior Singles, Senior Singles, or Mixed Doubles, you must have at least 50 points in that division. Women's, Junior, and Senior Doubles do not have a point minimum.
What are the Local minimum player counts?▾
- World Singles — 3 players minimum
- World / Mixed / Set-Teams Doubles — 2 teams minimum
- Women's, Junior, Senior Singles — 2 players minimum
- Blind Draw — 4 players minimum, must be an even number
How do I buy a Major ticket? (NEW for SZN3)▾
All TCA Major registrations are processed through Scoreholio. For doubles events, one teammate purchases the team ticket and registers the spot — the second teammate then joins the team after the ticket has been purchased.
What happens when a Major division gets huge?▾
Once a tier crosses certain thresholds (65+ or 129+ total players/teams, or 129+/257+ for Blind Draw Doubles), the tier is split into multiple brackets. Each split plays down to produce four overall finalists, who are then reseeded into a TCA Final Four bracket by division standings. Records from split-bracket play do not carry over.
PRO Status & Season Honors
How do I become a TCA PRO?▾
There are multiple paths:
- Ranked PRO — finish Top 20 in World Singles Standings (valid two seasons).
- Unranked PRO — finish Top 3 in World Doubles, Mixed Doubles, or Women's Singles (valid one season).
- Unranked PRO — reach the Final 4 in Singles at the TCA World Championships (valid one season).
PROs are announced after all points are calculated, typically by mid-June. See the PRO Status section for full details.
What do PROs get?▾
- A TCA PRO Jersey (Ranked PROs receive one free at season's end).
- The ability to bypass World Singles Pool Play at select TCA Majors.
- Access to PRO-only Invitational Tournaments.
What do Player / Team of the Season winners get?▾
- A custom POS or TOS jersey, presented at Worlds.
- A free Gold Zone ticket to Worlds in the earned division.
- The #1 overall seed in the qualifying division at Worlds.
- The ability to bypass Pool Play for the following season in that division (when registration allows).
Divisions & Eligibility
I turn 55 this year. Can I play Seniors?▾
You may compete in the Seniors division at 54 years old, as long as you turn 55 before June 1 of the current season. A state-recognized license or ID is required.
My 18th birthday falls mid-season. Can I finish the season as a Junior?▾
Yes. If you were 17 or younger as of September 1 (the first day of the season), you remain eligible for Juniors for the rest of the season — even if you turn 18 before it ends.
What's new in the divisions lineup for SZN3?▾
TCA Spin is now offered as a Major division. Signature Throwcase events will also feature expanded divisions — Women's Doubles, Junior Doubles, Senior Doubles, and TCAdaptive Doubles.
